2018 update: My hope is that you may be full of the peace and grace of our Heavenly Father, who gives abundantly. Since this past April, an uproar of violence has erupted in the beautiful country of Nicaragua. Due to the current civil unrest and following several travel advisories, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2018 Nicaragua Women’s Retreat.
I pray for my sisters, for their families, and for my amazing country so there can be an end to all violence. For the past 2 years, the retreats have been a huge blessing to visit Nicaragua, to share in communion with many women, and to have the opportunity to share the love of our Beloved with so many women and children. This year, we had the chance to share more books and lessons to different women groups that invited us in. We were able to give out bibles, as there is hunger for His word. I personally was able to share one of my favorite lessons “Your First Love” to many women.
This is a small country of about 6 million inhabitants. It has been reported in these 3 months there are over 300 deaths and hundreds more missing including children. I ask you to join me in prayer to our Father in the name of our Beloved Jesus Christ, believing that He hears us and cares for us. That we may pray for the safety and peace of my sisters and my people. I call on to the good and perfect will of our Heavenly Father to be done.
I’d like to share that despite my own family being separated as my EH has decided that for now our children and I stay away from our home…and during this trying time, I find great comfort in the promises of our Beloved. This Word has come to me several times in the past few weeks, in Genesis 2-3, the Word says “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering…Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” My faith is in Him and I believe that His word is alive and has power and that all happens in His time. As we have learned in our lessons, there are seasons for everything. He says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.”
~ Quesia in Nicaragua is one of our Spanish Ministers based in Central America whose mission is to reach the children in need and share the Lord's love.
Ministry Note: To say we are in a constant state of AWE as the Lord leads us, cannot be explained fully. Once again, immediately after hearing Him tell us to cancel this year’s Women’s Retreat, we asked Quesia to share her heart with you and proceeded to once again invest your tithe, by donating our monthly RMI tithe to One Child Matters. That's when we saw there was an option to have the funds allocated to where our hearts are— the children of Nicaragua!
Please take a moment to read the Important Update and should He move you, you may also want to give towards their relief and support. *Remember, if you are a tithing partner or donated to RMI this past month, we tithed on your behalf.
